About the Artist
Art as remembrance, healing, and quiet connection—a lifelong journey of awakening through the unseen.
“Art reminds us of who we were, and who we are still becoming.”
Billie is a painter and silversmith whose work flows from intuition, reverence, and hard-won transformation. What began as an exploration of wire-wrapping grew into a decades-long devotion to the natural beauty and healing properties of gemstones, as her tools and methods expanded from beadwork into jewelry smithing. Drawing from ancient civilizations, metaphysical symbols, and unseen realms, she designs and crafts each piece by hand using silver, copper, and brass—creating talismans meant to offer peace, presence, and a sense of recognition.
Her love for art traces back to childhood, when she could often be found doodling sketches of her beloved horses in the corners of TV Guides and scraps of paper. Though her creative spark wound through years of interruption, doubt, and personal loss, it never went out. In her 50s, community college art classes and the quiet encouragement of a teacher rekindled that flame, reminding her it was never too late to create something meaningful.
Pastel, watercolor, and acrylic became sacred tools for expression and discovery. Letting go of rigid rules, Billie now paints intuitively—pouring color and water onto paper and canvas, allowing shapes to emerge organically. From these textures arise glimpses of spirit guides, natural forms, and the quiet wisdom of the unseen. For her, painting is not performative—it is a sacred act of remembrance, of healing, of listening.
Whether through metal and stone or brush and pigment, Billie’s work carries the echoes of her own transformative journey of awakening. Her creations invite you to feel something ancient and familiar, like a memory stirring just beneath the surface—an offering of beauty, connection, and soul.
